Dr. Susy Pierazzo was born and raised in London, ON, and attended undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario before being accepted into the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo.
After graduating in 1989, she moved to BC for the mild climate and opportunity to help establish Newton Optometry Clinic, which she took over as owner in 1997.
With the invaluable help of her caring team of colleagues and staff, the clinic now resides in its third location, a modern professional building, providing us and our patients a comfortable environment for many years. Over the years, Dr. Pierazzo has enjoyed providing thorough and thoughtful eye care to patients of all ages from one generation to the next. She’s proud of how far our clinic and profession have evolved into this important role of managing ocular health and taking a strong role in patient education for their overall well-being.
Away from work, she has kept busy raising her son towards adulthood! Volunteering at his school and sporting events.
Now she’s spending more time outdoors along our beautiful coastline, walking her Whoodle, but you might also catch her at a pickleball court.
